On September 15, 2024, Space Perspective made history by completing a full flight profile of their uncrewed Spaceship Neptune.  The team at Base is ecstatic at this milestone. We have been supporters of the founders for over ten years now and are proud lead investors in the company's seed round.  The flight launched from the Marine Spaceport (MS) Voyager off the coast of St. Petersburg. Spaceship Neptune reached an altitude of approximately 100,000 feet, above 99% of Earth's atmosphere!

The six-hour journey was a demonstration of Space Perspective's engineering excellence and paves the way to start human flights as early as 2025. With more than 1,800 tickets sold, Space Perspective is set to lead the market for commercial space travel.

Founder and CTO of Space Perspective, Taber MacCallum,  proudly stated, "Completing Development Flight 2 is a defining moment for Space Perspective," while Founder Jane Poynter emphasized the extraordinary accessibility and comfort of the spaceflight experience.

Crewed test flights will be next, bringing Space Perspective closer to manned flights in 2025 and full commercial operations in 2026.
